Maths & Numeracy

The Course

All students study GCSE Mathematics and GCSE Numeracy. Mathematics is one of the fundamental subjects underpinning all science and technology. We want students to see the learning of Mathematics as a lifelong experience, which will help them to approach situations with confidence. We want then to appreciate that Mathematics will be useful outside the classroom and can also be used to help in other GCSEs including: Business Studies, Computer Science, Food and Nutrition, Geography and Technology.

Course Content

The Mathematics course covers both GCSE Mathematics and Numeracy, it enables students to develop knowledge, skills and understanding of mathematical methods and concepts, including:

  • Number

  • Algebra
